The DTS is an intensive Christian training course designed to encourage students in personal character development, encouraging and cultivating a living relationship with God, living out the Word of God, and identifying their call from God. Discipleship Training Schools aim to prepare messengers of the Gospel, helping students to know God in depth. The goal is to form Christian character and establish Biblical relationships while developing a daily walk with God. 

For five months students come and find God at the foot of Kilimanjaro. This intensive Christian training course begins with a 12 week lecture phase followed by an 8-12 week outreach field assignment. The school is taught in both Swahili and English.
